CHPT · Q2 printed $116.1 million. Hardware still outran subscriptions.

ChargePoint — NYSE: CHPT — reported fiscal Q2 2027 on 2 September. Networked charging systems were $62.9 million. Subscriptions were $43.7 million. Four points of the margin print were tariff refunds.

Why this name is on the tape

ChargePoint Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CHPT) is a Campbell, California company that sells networked EV chargers and a software subscription that runs them. Search boxes often stop at “charging network.” The P&L still splits hardware, subscriptions, and other.

The tape printed CHPT hard into early September on the fiscal Q2 release. A beat versus the company’s own $100–$110 million guide is not the same as a finished subscription business. This article keeps those clocks apart. It is not a ranking of the stock and not a trade instruction.

What printed for the quarter ended 31 July 2026

For the quarter ended 31 July 2026 ChargePoint reported revenue of $116.1 million, up 18% from $98.6 million. The company released that fiscal Q2 2027 print on 2 September 2026. Networked charging systems were $62.9 million, up 25% from $50.4 million. Subscriptions were $43.7 million, up 10% from $39.9 million. Other revenue was $9.5 million. Hardware still billed more than the software seat.

GAAP net loss was $35.6 million, versus $66.2 million a year earlier. Non-GAAP adjusted EBITDA was a $4.8 million loss, versus a $22.1 million loss. GAAP gross margin was 36%, versus 31%. Non-GAAP gross margin was 38%, versus 33%. The company said about four percentage points of that non-GAAP margin came from tariff refunds. Strip those refunds and the normalized non-GAAP margin is closer to 34%.

Cash, cash equivalents, and restricted cash were $95.7 million at 31 July 2026. Net cash used in operating activities for the six months ended 31 July 2026 was $40.8 million. A narrower quarterly loss is not the same as cash from operations turning positive for the half.

What is still a target

For fiscal Q3 2027, ending 31 October 2026, ChargePoint said it expected revenue of $105 million to $115 million. That range sits below the $116.1 million just printed. It is a company target, not a print.

Management also pointed to early-access shipments of the Express Solo platform, with commercial production described as a fiscal Q4 event. A pilot shipment is not a commercial production run.

What this does not tell you

A $116.1 million quarter is evidence that ChargePoint billed more networked hardware and subscriptions than a year ago. It is not proof that Q3 lands inside $105–$115 million, that hardware stays ahead of subscriptions, or that the margin holds without another tariff refund. Cash at $95.7 million is the July 31 balance, not a forecast.

On MarketNeon, CHPT is a ticker like any other: price, volume, crowd mentions, and headlines can run hot on a guidance beat while the next quarter is still a target. This article is context for those prints. It does not rank the name, and it does not tell anyone to buy or sell.
