How to read MarketNeon movers

The Movers pane ranks unusual price action across four windows. Session leaders and multi-day runs are not the same story.

Four windows, four questions

MarketNeon movers are split by lookback so a one-session spike is not mixed with a slower grind. 1D is today’s session versus the prior close. 5D, 15D, and 30D need stored price history and describe how far a name has traveled over several sessions.

Use 1D when you want to know who is moving right now. Use the longer windows when you want to know whether that move is new or already several days old.

Upside and downside stay separate

The list is not a blended “most active” tape. Gainers and losers are ranked on their own so leadership and damage are both visible. A name can be loud on volume and still sit in the middle of both lists.

  • 1D leaders can fade before the close — treat them as session context, not a finished story.
  • A strong 15D or 30D run with a quiet 1D print often means the move already happened.
  • A sharp 1D drop inside a still-green 15D window is a pullback inside a larger trend, not automatically a new trend.

What movers do not decide

Movers highlight unusual price change. They do not rank quality, liquidity, or news quality on their own. Buy ideas, volume signals, crowd alignment, and earnings context sit on other panes so a lone percentage print is not treated as a full setup.

MarketNeon is an informational scanner. A name at the top of Movers is evidence of movement, not an instruction to trade.
